Bernard and Purple Tentacle (otherwise known as the evil tentacle).
These two are featured in Day of the Tentacle, a wonderfully absurd computer adventure game from LucasArts. One of those games where you walk around and select actions like "Pick Up" and "Talk to" in combination with other characters and items. LucasArts got a lot of my money back in the day.
