2011 Ledo's Pizza Placemat

D.C. United asked for a redesign of their soccer players from last July. And thus the East coast is blessed with my art, yet again.

Remember that poster I did for The Seussification of Romeo and Juliet? They also needed a streamlined design for the t-shirts for the show.

I finally got mine.

Hodge-Podge

 Pareidolia is fun, kids.

 I drew a trapezoid and got an elephant. It's a metaphor for parenthood.

 I showed this to Lisa and I think her comment of "Oh yeah, I drew a lot of stuff like that in high school" sums this up nicely.

The Eye in the Sky.

Over Christmas, I got to spend time with my niece and nephew, Madison and Austin. One night, while Madison was attempting to distract everyone from the fact it was time for bed, she told her mother that her little brother wanted to eat her eyeball for breakfast. Apparently, I was the only one to recall this the next day.

Sam Finkelstein

I found a Strathmore sketchbook at Savers going for $2.99. It was blank except for some pencil scribbles on the first page. I considered it and then saw that on the back, the original owner had scrawled the name Sam Finkelstein. Sold.

Picked up a Capella University planner for the 2011 school year during my last assignment. Thought the cover was a little bland and therefore perfect for a little ink.
