These two gentlemen are based on my old bosses from when I worked at a grocery store as a wee lad. The one on the left, I believe, got addicted to crack and the one on the right had the foulest sense of humor I've ever encountered. Bless'em both.
I'll try to do something more than this; treat this anniversary right. But Cold Ramen is now in its 3rd year on the web. The best part of this past year, artwise, was learning to ink with a brush.
And of course, a Happy St. Patrick's Day to you all.
The lines are taken from a Charles Bukowski poem title "The German Bar." I love Bukowski's poetry, especially the ones that seem to sock you in the stomach at the end. They're like a Vonnegut novel contained in a single page.
Not your typical image of Caesar, I know. For some reason, I kept picturing a heavier man than the gaunt image of Caesar with a hang dog expression. Stephen Fry seemed an apt fit.
